El
Camino Children’s Home is a refuge
where children are fed, clothed,
protected,
educated and loved. Gabriela saw the need
for a Christian children’s home, so she & a
friend began this ministry in a small two-
bedroom house in the city of Palmira.
It was not long before the house was overcrowded with 20 children.
With financial support from her home church, Living Waters
Christian Center in Falmouth MA, Gabriela was able to purchase a
country house a few miles away. This facility, El Camino, now
houses over forty children who have been rescued from the streets
and abusive home situation where their lives had been in constant
danger.
The need is great. Although the Children’s House receives
many
donations, there are still supplies and services to purchase that
require additional funds. Also, there are repairs to be made and
additional rooms to be built and staff to be paid in order to maintain
El Camino.
There are many, many more children who desperately need to
be to
rescued from domestic violence, sexual exploitation, drug abuse and
abandonment.
